The Taliban is set to inherit a seat on the UN women's rights commission. Seriously. 🤦‍♀️

I'm not making this up.

Once again, this is not a joke.

The people who shoot women for not properly covering their faces, steal 12-year-old girls from their parents to rape them, and ban women from most jobs, education, and activities outside the home are set to inherit a seat on the UN women's right commission that Afghanistan was awarded in 2020.

They aren't the only such country on the commission, sadly. A few months ago, the U.N. voted to allow freaking IRAN on the commission starting in 2022 and other nations such as Saudi Arabia and Somalia are on there as well.

Oh, and did I mention the Taliban could inherit a seat on UNESCO for preserving ancient historical sites??

I've known for a long time that the U.N. has become a joke, but this really takes the cake.
